Hello, I have a question I have a 95 plymouth neon 2.0 sohc, it would not start one day so i did a series of test, scanner, compression test, fuel pres. test,,it all checked out ok except the compression, first cyl,is 90-100 psi, second cyl. 20-30 psi, third 20-30, fourth 90-100psi, what is going on??
Try again and put about 1 teaspoon of oil in the hole and respin. If it rises probably rings. Otherwise a visual tear down is in order.
If it runs the you could look for gases perculating out of the coolent when running with raditator cap off. Or excessive steam from the tail pipe. Water in the oil or oil in the coolant. Some signs of head gasket problems.
Also if you have a leakdown tester you could see if you have valve leakage as well.
If it is a hole in the pistons then OOPS!
