My son just bought a 95 Neon that has a MSG ing coil on it. Every once in a while it will throw a code about misfires. Not sure if is the coil or not. It will idle up and down just sitting like a TBS sensor. He has had it for a week now and is frustrated with this car. It only has 83,000 miles on it and looks great but this is driving us crazy. Almost wish we would have passed it up now, but he loves Neon's

 

What codes are you getting 43? If so that is generally bad plugs and/or wires but, could also be a bad coil. I believe it can also be caused but bad injectors but, I would try the plugs and wires first. An OBD11 scanner (yes they will work on a 95) may give more precise codes.

 

Yes it is throwing code 43. It seems to be intermintent , it does it everyday but not the whole time. I hope it is not the PCM or something high dollar.
