Trans Question HELP
2002 Neon. Problem in a nutshell:
Put car in gear, rpm goes up a tad, engine torques forward. Car won't move. In fact, while in gear, sometimes you can't even push car (appears to be "locked up)
If you shift from N to D repeatedly, sometimes it actually goes into drive and car moves. For a short time of course, then back to same problem.
Fluid at proper level. No burnt smell or gritty feeling. Changed fluid for the heck of it. I just need some ideas!

Check your shift cable it may have come off the bracket in the console or at the transmission(look at the transmission below the battery cable should be connected to a lever on the transmission itself.
