heater core on 2002 neon
I am in the process of replacing the heater core in my 2002 dodge neon sxt. While the job has been nothing close to what I thought it would entail, I have a lot removed already. I have completely removed the dash and everything. Right now I am right at the plastic housing for the heater core. Now from the comments I have read else where I have to discharge my a/c, correct? And I am having one hell of a time with getting the plastic housing free to replace the heater core. can I cut the plastic and then repair where I make the cut? Or how would you reccomend the removal. I have been tinkering with this job for about a week now, as I have other veichles to work on. But Im starting to get fusterated with this job. and would appreciate any info you can give.
since the Evaporator and the heater core are seperate units I can't see why you would need to discharge your A/C. perhaps you interpreted Drain coolant to mean discharge A/C??
