Yeah I recently realized that the extra piece goes there. I was planning on only putting it in if I ever got a new throttle body. I've had so many problems with the CAI, and I finaly got it fixed. So I don't really want to mess with it anymore. [>:] Am I loosing significant performance without it?

And to answer your question the bellows tube won't make a huge difference. It might make a very small difference but nothing huge.
