I'm in serious trouble my Neon wont start !

Chrysler Neon 1995 LE, 16v SOCH 133 HK, europeean/sweden

The Car wont start, i hear the humming from the fuel pump. also tested
removed the fuse, and then its dead, have tested with sparkplug on the
engine and its "sparking" so this seems OK

Just tell WHAT and WHERE to troubleshoot on my SOCH engine.

All help will be werry much appreciated !

The Car is just cranking, what can i look after ?

 

When you try to start it pull a plug and check to see if they are wet with gas. If no gas you may have a blocked fuel line or filter.

 

My 1 month of crazy neon computer experience can say that your computer is crazy too. First try getting the key to the end about 5 sec. and never accelerating. Mine ever starts so. Dont put key on that stage where you see all panel functions, skip it fast. It's because you could get overflowing engine, and believe me, so never will start. It's a try, however i'm guessing [&o]

 

Let me give you a few steps to try

#1 Check every fuse
#2 pull the fuel line off and turn the key onsee if you get fuel.
#3 get a compresion tester. do a compression test...make sure all the cylinders are within 20-30 psi
#3 (this is kinda complicated might need a mechanic for this)go buy a chiltons or haynes manual so you can see a wiring diaghram. Check to make sure you have both a camshaft position sensor signal and a crankshaft position sensor signal.
If none of these find the problem take it to your closest dodge dealer.

Nice car ..how did you get a calender from them if you live in texas?

 

On the front of the motor at the top is the fuel rail, there is a black cap in the center of it. Remove the cap and there is a schrader valve just like your tires have. Get a rag and a screw driver, wrap the valve with the rag and stick the screw driver into the valve just like letting air out of your tire, but be very careful and keep the rag covering it. If it is getting fuel up to here it will be pressurized and it will spray out. You may have to do this with the key in the ignition and turned to the "ON" position. If your getting fuel and spark then there is something wrong with the timing or the computer is not getting the signals it needs to fire everything at the right times.[sm=smiley2.gif]

 

It's a 1995 most likely there is no shrader valve in the fuel line!!!!!
That didn't start being on alot of chrysler vehichles until 98-99

 

Now that sucks. That was also good for adding nitrous as well.
