Default Lucas Oil

I am considering using a few of there products, but was wondering if the results are all just hype. Has anyone used the Synthetic Oil Stabalizer, or the Semi-Synthetic Auto Transmission Fluid in their cars. Are these products just going to gum up my car or is Lucas as good as it sounds? Thanks for any replies.

Alright, I ended up getting some Amsoil Straight Synthetic for the transmission, but was wondering if it would be alright to mix the old fluid with the synthetic. There will still be a few quarts of fluid left in the torque convertor, correct? Hopefully someone's got an answer out there. Thanks.

Mixing the fluids is just fine however getting your trans flushed (sort of like the AAMCO cmmercial) would be best. Lot less old fluid. However won't hurt a bit. Being a 98 you don't require ATF+4 so you'r fine. Lucas is pretty good stuff if you are using the oil. The oil stabilizers are basically just STP just a whole bottle. The synthetic may be more different but the heavy duty stuff was just the same as STP or VALVOLINE oil treatments. Same ingreadients in almost identicle proportions. Seen some indication of foaming issues with that stuff so if you got to use it just get 20W-50 which is what you are converting the original oil too anyway and your additive package won't be screwy!
