im assuming the compressor is turning when the A/C is set to ON?

Im gonna put money the 1 way check valve isnt functioning properly and ur loosing vacuum.
you gonna need a vacuum gauge to diagnose this one and when re-assembling make sure all the vac tubes are greased so they dont leak they have to hold 8 in.Hg.
and there should be no more than a .75 in.Hg. drop on any line

yes compressor does turn but its only when brake peddle is pressed. not enough to engage brake just enough for the sensor to light lights.

where would i find a vacuum diagram for the car?
