My 17 year old daughter has just bought herself a 95 neon with a 2.0L. The power steering/ac belt was missing, i looked at it and the a/c pump looked bad, I put a new belt on and sure enough, a/c pump is seized.
My question is can i just run a belt that is for that engine with no a/c or would i have to put an idler pulley in there?
I am not to familiar with neons so not sure if the ones with out a/c have an idler or just a shorter belt to the power steering pump and of course my local parts stores have no repair manuals in stock and will take 2 weeks to get one in( go figure).
