lookin at this peformance module , it claims it adds up to 20+horses and 12lb+ of torque, he even has a dyno showing results, dont know if its legit or not, any one know about this thing and if it really works?

I do beleive this is just the old "resistor" trick to fool the PCM into thinking it's colder outside. It's not really all that they claim. The PCM will compensate for a rich condition created by the module (resistor).

Don't waste your money.

 

Actually, I just installed this today, I had some money I needed to blow so I got it.
I do feel changes, the throttle response on my neon has been improved, and I do feel some torque and hp increase.
I'm going to have a dyno on my car to make sure.

I'll let you know how it goes.
Also I'm actually looking for a place that can do dynos, does anyone know?

It will do something for your car for about the 1st 10 time you accelerate after installing it. After that the PCM learns and leans the the mixture right back out. They are useless.

I don't know wether you have a CAI or not, but if you do, you know the difference that makes. Rather noticable. According to that page, a CAI gives you 8, and this chip gives you 20. So if you put a CAI on and you know the difference that made, compare the changes you're feeling now to the change you felt then. Get back to us on that if you're able to relate.

The fact that they're boasting 20 hp for 30$ just bothers me. HP does NOT come that cheap.

 

No, its definitely not 20hp. I've driven it several times and feel a few ponies, and the increased throttle response, but thats about it.
I was actually suprised that they had responsive technical support, they also have a %100 money back guarantee, so if I'm
just feeling things, yeah...

how do you install it?

 

It splices right in the wires of the air intake sensor.

 

do u still feel the difference in response? is it worth to buy?
