97 Plymouth breeze/neon questions PLZ HELP
ok im new to the forum and have a bunch of questions. im only 18 years old but have been around cars my whole life. I have a 97 plymouth breeze with a 2.0 sohc auto tranny. I just rebuilt the engine for my senior project in my shop class about 5 months ago. i got the auto tranny out the junk yeard that had a new torque converter and new seals. it reuns great currently. I am wanting to upgrade to a 2.4l dohc manual tranny. I know that the neon and breeze aka stratus, have pretty much the same engine setup and tranny setup. The upgrades i wanna do to the 2.4 is: Crane valve springs and retainer kit, crower stage 3 cams, mopar followers, adjustable cam gears, new water pump, srt oil pump, je pistons and eagle rod kit, mpx 60 mm TB, indy intake, 55-60lb per ohour injectors(all these parts from modernperformance), 2.5 inch high flow catalitic converter to a mufler off andys autosport, stage 2 or 3 clutch in manual tranny, body kit, lowering springs, 18 inch rims. Okay my questions is. if i get a 2.4l engine rebuilt and all ready to drop in it will all mostly hook up right? except for some changes to the cam sensor? and as far as the ecm goes. are the neons and breezes ecms the same? becuz when i swap out the tranny i will probably have to swap out the harness? i need info guys plz.
No i have not got an answer yet. Basically all i wanna do is put a built 2.4l manual transmission in the place of my current 2.0l sohc auto trans. Is it possible and what do i need to make it possible if possible
