Default Taking 1998 neon across country

Im considering taking my 1998 dodge neon with 171,000 miles 1,800 miles across the united states. It's kinda of a issue were I don't have a way around doing it. I'm not leaving my car behind. I just had a new radiator put in it and the mechanics told me it still sounds strong. Timing belt and water pump was changed at 150,000 miles. Tires only have 5,000 miles of wear so they are pretty new. What all else should I do if I am going to make this trip with the car? Should I just take it easy on the car and not drive it as fast and maby only 400 miles a day? What do u all suggest.. I am not leaving my car behind. Oh and I do have triple aaa.

Make sure your oil, spark plugs and wires aren't overdue for a change. Other than that, drive it. Driving 1,800 miles in a few days really isn't too different than driving it over the course of a couple of months. The miles just rack up faster. If something is going to break, it's going to break whether you are going across country or to the grocery store. Hopefully, you aren't heading to this horrible state.

Best of luck on the move, I'm guessing?

sounds good to go. Maybe have a look at the radiator hoses too, replace them if they feel soft and squishy

Congrats on the safe and successful trip! Getting there in time for all of the rain I imagine?
