I have a K&N typhoon intake on my car but i was wondering for the winter can i put the factory air system back on the car without using that big black tube thing. Im not leaving the cold air on especially here in RI where the winters can get pretty bad. Also will it mess up the computer if i keep switching from factory to cold air back to factory every year. Thanks for any help.

 

when u say big black tube thing, are you talking about the resonator box or the intake box? i think youll need both if want to put ur stock intake in, what i would do so you wouldnt have to put stock tubing back in is take off the long tube that directs your intake outside your engine bay, and just put your stock airfilter on the throttle body or your aftermarket filter to protect it from being outside of your engine bay,

see the longer tube, take it off and just connect your air filter to the throttle body, ull have hot air intake tho

I got the same year/make/model..Where did you mount your throttle body? any pictures? and the "big black thing" is your air filter housing.
