That happened to one of my fog lights when I replaced it. I took it off for a couple days for it to completely dry out. When I put it back on I put some black sealer around the edges, forgot what it was called, I'll get the name for you, and I haven't had a problem since.

wet sanding is one way... probably the best way to make them look like new again. also you can get some stuff, im not sure what its called but its a bar for buffing plastic, if you have a buffer, you just run the buffer and run the bar allong the buffer pad, then buff the headlights. its kinda hard to explain so if you dont understand let me know. i just did it to my headlights, and it worked really well. theres aslo plastic polish out there, but i did not have as much luck with that

RE: Headlight Lenses Fogged
The DEPO/TYC style headlights are so cheap now (under $100 on ebay), is it really worth it to "restore" the factory headlights? I mean, they had crappy light output to begin with, and even after sanding and waxing, they'll eventually get foggy again. I shined one of mine up with plastic polish to nearly new, then kept putting on a coat of wax every now and then to protect it. Lasted through a winter before looking almost as bad as the other one, so I bought used DEPO lights for next to nothing. Best non-performance related mod I think I've done to the car... The difference in light ouput is simply amazing.

Best of luck!

RE: Headlight Lenses Fogged
It is a real leap of faith to sand clear plastic, but read on.........

I have a 98 Caravan with 170,000 miles on it. I thought that my headlights were beyond help. I found an article about wetsanding and thought "What the heck, I can't make them any worse". ( They were REALLY bad.) So, I followed their directions:

1) Wetsand with a fine sandpaper 1000 or 1500 grit. I used the 1000.
I sanded horizontally across the lens to avoid swirls. Use lots of water and be careful around the edges to avoid hitting painted surfaces. You could mask it but I did not.

2) Apply "Bluemagic Metal Polish Cream" let it dry to a haze and buff. Repeat.
( Article also reccommended "Mothers Mag Wheel Cleaner")

Ta-Dah! My headlights look Great. It cost about $10.00 and an hours worth of work. Well worth it. Really wish I had done before and after pics.
