Default Need a circuit diagram for 1st gen neon headlights/turn signals

I have a 1st gen neon and I need a circuit diagram for the headlights. Earlier this week I started driving to work with the headlights on and when I signaled to make a left turn the left headlight went out. I wasn't sure if the turn signal was somehow invloved so I then signaled a right and the right headlight went out.
I had just put in a salvage crank position sensor the previous weekend and although the car is now running great (instead of cutting out when hot), the headlights have now died. The parking lights are fine and the turn signal are also fine. Instrument panel also illuminates. I've checked all fuses on the left side of the dash and the 40 amp headlight fuse under the hood. I checked the wiring harness that I worked around and it is also fine (underside of car , just above the oil filter.) I did have to replace the crank sensor's connector to the newer style but that work also looks good. No shorts, no open wires.

Also , I want to pull the headlight bulbs out to see if I have current/voltage at the connector but it seems impossible to do without removing the entire lens assembly? Is that true? I already broke one of the bolts holding the assembly - it had no interest in being removed...I'd like to avoid removing the whole assembly before I break anything else.

After a great deal of searching I finally found 1st gen circuit diagrams (actually far more than just the headlights) - but this site appears to have only circuits for the 1997 neon.

http://www.autolib.diakom.ru/CAR/Dod...NG%20DIAGRAMS/

You'll note that it appears to be russian site which did give me some reason to hesitate. I downloaded some pdfs and then did a full virus scan of my computer which came back with no threats.

Default headlights fix

I wiggled the turn signal on my 1st gen neon and discovered it had developed an open in the portion that controls headlight hi-beams. By wiggling the turn signal I was able to bring the headlight on and off (not just the 'brights'). The defective switch was knocking out the low-beams altogether. I replaced the turn signal switch (aka multi-function switch with not so many functions...) with one from the salvage yards. Lights are now working properly.
