Default Cams and Computer

Okay so I have Crower stage 2 cams non-turbo that I am about to put in my DOHC. I have a Mopar Performance Computer and was wondering if that computer will be able to handle the new cams, or do I have to get another controller of some sorts?

Any cam will need to be tuned in for performance gains. The car "should" be fine. But if you wanted to see power gains and better driveability I would suggest a custom tune. A wideband would help to know if the car is running safely.

Whats a good wideband and how expensive are they or are there alternative ways?

BTW thank you for all your help, you always respond to all my post and are very helpful.

How do you feel about using an SAFC for tuning the car? or any other suggestions for tuning?

I like the AEM UEGO ones. They go for new on ebay for $160 shipped. Cheapest one out there. The big thing about cams is the constancy of the air/fuel and timing. A good tuner can take loping idle and help smooth it out, he can also give the timing the car needs to unleash some power. Using a SAFC will help you get the fuel in check, if I am not mistaken SAFC is the best option for street tuning cams. I am not to sure what air/fuel you will need to see at WOT, I have never tuned an N/A car so I am no help there. Maybe check my post in the 1st gen section about the custom tuned computers, they may be able to ship you a tune that will give it a nice baseline. No problem for the help, I try to return the favor. This forum helped me a lot many moons ago.

On a side note from experience. I have used "mild" cams and did no tuning and it ran just fine. Usually on a mopar ECU. I am not sure how aggressive the cams your getting are, so that may factor in.

oh cool on the car running just fine. Cuz I have a mopar computer in my car already which is awesome by the way. I let you know how it goes, im planning on doing this all next week. Ill definitely get a wideband and hold off on the SAFC and if need then ill go for it.
