95 dodge neon stuck on full throttle

Default 95 dodge neon stuck on full throttle

hey got a 95 dodge neon sohc just rebuilt the motor from the bottom up and just installed it everything went great. First issue i had was i had to replace the tps. Now i'm having a issue the when i start the car it's stuck on full throttle i'm not sure what wrong with it cleaned the throttle body and everything please help

What do you mean "full throttle?" Are you rpm's increasing as soon as you start your car without applying the accelerator? Could be a an unattached vacuum line. visually inspect the engine bat area, specifically from the throttlbe Brady to the cylinder head for leaks.

I would check the TPS, I have a car that frequently burns through TPSs and when it does the car will drive it self at 45mph with a screwy idle.

make sure the rubber is not rolled over where the hose clamps hold the accordion like tube from the intake to the throttle body. i had trouble with mine after i replaced my trans. i had to adjust it twice. then it finally ran normal. also a bad pcv valve will cause this too.

The TPS and intake tube are the two things I'd check first as well.
