Does anyone if you have a big leak on the high side (hose from the compressor to the evaporator) a/c (suction) hose do I still have to evacuate the system before replacing the high side hose. I figure since there is a leak and all of the freon has leaked out of the system then there is no need to evacuate the system (less pressure)? Once I replace the hose then I can get the system recharged and a/c back blowing cold air. Are my thoughts correct please advise....
