Default Broken Wheel Stud

I broke one of the front wheel studs on my 2005 Neon while changing winter tires , looked for answers on the web got lots of different stories, anyone know how to remove and replace one?
Thanks in advance.

I'm sure the whole hub has to come off. Spindle nut, ball joint, etc. You might get a machine shop to press out the broken stud and press in a new one. You might want to consider replacing the whole hub assembly. That way you'll get new wheel bearings. If you go that route it makes sense to do both sides at the same time.

beat the old stud out with a hammer and install new stud, mount tire, grease lug nut where it meets the rim, tighten lug nut to draw out stud into place

Can't say enough about using the right tool for the right job.... Or the right bigger tool for that matter. Good job
