console gear selector light

Can any one tell me how to change the bulb in the console gear selector ?
do the top piece with the gears on it just snap on and off or do i have to take off the center console itself to change the bulb?

Take the center console out. If I remember right there is 4 screws in the center console box and 2 by the cup holders. you should be able to get at the bulbs from there.
