I am the original owner of my Neon, so I know it has not been mistreated. It has less than 70,000 miles on it. Suddenly the second and third heater dial in the console became very hard, with the 3rd being nearly impossible. At first I thought maybe it just needed to warm up since it was the first really cold day of the year. After awhile I could sort of nudge it over, but I am afraid to mess with it because I don't want to break anything. Do I need to take the console cover off to access the back and WD-40 it? Just the dial? How do I take the console off? Could it be leaves of something caught under the hood?
