Hello, been working on my daughters car and keep getting code P0204. I've read several threads here and have tried everything posted I think but still have the mis and the code. It is a 2003 Neon with a 2.0 engine.
Here's what I have done so far, replaced coil, cam sensor, crank sensor, plugs, wires, pcm, swapped #4 injector with #3, injector checks out, traced wires from #4 to coil and to pcm, all have continuity but still #4 does not spray and coil rarely fires and is weak if it does at all. I plugged #3 harness onto #4 injector and get spray so fuel rail isn't clogged, carry's 55 to 57lbs fuel pressure at idle, I swapped wires on coil to make sure the new coil wasn't bad and it is ok. If I understand everything I've read the coil won't fire if the injector doesn't work but I can't figure out why I'm not getting fuel if all the above is ok. P0204 says open in wire or relay, short in wire, bad injector, or bad pcm. The wires look fine, the injector works in any other hole, the pcm is new (had same trouble with the original pcm that's why I got a new one)but I can only find one relay (ASD) for the injectors. Is there a separate relay for each injector? what am I missing? Kid has been at college for over a month without a car, please help. thanks in advance.
