Default 2000 neon heater blowing luke warm

I have done all the common stuff to get my kids neon heater blowing hot, it barely gets warm.... thermostat, flushed heater core, burped it, etc..... after many hours of going in circles thought i would see if any of you guys had a fix.... I'm thinking it's the blend door..when you first turn the blower on you get a blast of hot then goes cold...... can't find any info on a fix.... thanks guys for any info....

I think you're right. That would mean pulling the dash apart. The only other thing I can think of is the temp. setting dial. it might be broken.

I the same problem with my 03 Neon, I pulled the dash cover and checked all of the linkages they were fine, the 03 cover comes off easy. Then I went to the heater lines and disconnected them, had to pull the battery and flushed them both ways using a garden hose, had to do it twice and it works good now.
