Default sxt to srt exhaust conversion

Hey i want to put a custom exhaust on my 03 neon sxt cause my turbo is a little slow spooling up. I heard that the srt 4 has only a flow through resonator and a cat and nothing else except pipeing, can i using the factory cat of course put a resonator and use two and a half inch piping for my exhaust system. and if so will it pass inspection and emmissions testing in pa? Thanks for any help you can offer!

Your best bet would be to get the Mopar Performance cat-back exhaust for an SRT-4, it only has one resonator where the factory exhaust has two, plus it's all 2.5" SS mandrel bent exhaust with polished tips.[sm=smiley2.gif]

I guess that would be a pretty good idea as long as the two outlets are properly placed for the cutouts in the body kit i just ordered, do you know if the distance between the two is a standard thing or not? If not is their any way i can get a layout or something of the stock system so that i can have it made to fit perfectly? thanks so much!
P.S. the body kit is by erebuni and its the shogun kit

I think that it is a standard thing, but I'm not certain. I would think that the SRT-4 and the R/T would have the cut outs in the same places just to make it easier and more cost effective. The Mopar/Borla exhaust is also adjustable for lining everything up right.[sm=smiley2.gif]

Yes it will. Tell me how well you like the sound of it when you get it put on.
