I have a 2005 Neon that won't move forward or in reverse without a crunching noise followed by the wheels refusing to move at all. Randomly overheats. Just had wheel bearing and transitioner replaced. Headgasket and waterpump only 5-6 years old. Thoughts? It's only got about 125k miles on it.

 

Automatic or manual? What engine? How many miles? Who did the work? You need to provide more info.

125k miles - headgasket repaired by local mechanic at 96k miles, along with cam sensor and water pump. Automatic. It's an SXT with a 2.0 ltr engine.

Recently had a wheel bearing replaced. Transitioner and belts replaced about a year ago. Small oil leak and small transmission leak. Needs new motor mounts.

It's either the brakes locked up or the transmission is bad. I'd start by pulling the wheels and doing a brake inspection.
