We have a 99 Neon. Has been a great car overall. Good for the kids to drive, mileage is pretty good, comfortable.
Originally had a batter terminal intermittent connection issue where it finally shutdown the car. Cleaned it all up, re tightened the fuse box lead in the terminal.
Now here is the head scratch-er. The Engine light in flicker intermittently. No codes are recorded by the computer. If I turn left it will go on solid, turn right it goes off. Cant smog it just because of the light - there are no engine issues. If runs great. The Smog Tech suggested the computer might need replacing but he never saw anything like this.

Any ideas?

 

Anyone have ideas? I cant smog this car until that light goes out despite the fact that there are no codes at all. I checked it with two different code & diagnostic readers.
