Shutting off problem
I have a 98 dodge neon 2.0 DOHC 5 speed , I race it on dirt oval track and it will shut off sometimes at the end of the corner right when I’m entering the straight away, but it would only **** off for a quick second and would start it self back up, without cranking it back over or bump starting it. And I would have the pedal pinned when it happens. There is some stuff deleted from the engine bay, but nothing that will harm it. I have a new fuel pump, the fuel accumulator thing is deleted as well, has new crank sensor, new cam sensor, new coil pack, and a good kill switch for the car. I have gone through I believe every ground on the car, and checked all fuses. I’m sure it’s an electrical problem, but can’t seem to find it and I’m tried wiggling the wires while it ran to see if it would affect it, but it doesn’t. Seems to idle fine, and has instant power, it just occasionally shuts off at the end of the corner and it’s all left turns. I do run a full tank of fuel, so it’s not the fuel splashing around. I’m hoping someone on here will have idea what to check or have an answer to what is happening. Thanks in advance.
does sound electrical...fuel supply would cause a slow drop out.
are the motor mounts good...i'm wondering if excess engine movement is flexing a wiring harness.
you may need a flight recorder. this allows you to record data. the recording is triggered for 30seconds before and after when the fault occurs...then you can see what drops out as you round the corner.
