Ok, **** it, now what to do....

Woahhhh--I just got nasty PM. Seems i pi$$ed somebody off. It's OK I remember being 16-19. I thought my parents were jerks too, I just tell the whole internet I thought so. Relax, it's only a car and in a few years you won't even remember it. Hell, i can't remember my first 10 cars.

It's probably because you set a ground rule: No more bashing and I'll help. See. . . sounds just like Dad.
From both a son and father perspective this fella definitely needs to grow up. My dad took FOREVER to help me do ANYTHING on my cars. But. . . I understood--he had a full time job, he was getting up there in age, and he had his own projects too. You know, he set aside his 426 hemi and the restoration of his Bee until I was a good couple years out of the house because he was always helping me do something on my Camaro. Then just when he gets started I come back to him for his tools to rebuild my Neon and my Spirit R/T. My dad deserves a lot of respect even if it did take a year the first time we built up the block for my camaro. For my own sons and daughters I want to do everything for them and it kills me for example that it's taken me four weeks just to put together the CAT5 network in my house due to time constraints---the 8 year old has been dying to play his friends head to head on Starcraft. It kills me to fail them, but I've learned to put out the expectations to something I know is more reasonable.
Big Boy toys take some big boy patience to put together--they're not made by Snap-tite.
Now. . .having said that--yup Howell and Modern have good stuff. Howell sells awesome hard parts. I've not talked to anyone that's done the 2.2 stroker but 1500 for the crank alone would explain why it's not done very often--little gain for a lot of expense. However, I think a 2.4 DOHC with their 2.7 stroker crank would be THE way to go if you don't want forced induction. (Here's a little secret I haven't admitted--if trying the 2.7 V-6 swap proves too much for me then I'll do a 2.7 4 cylinder and just tell you all I managed my 2.7 swap finally. Post some drag times and who has to know it was a 4 cylinder 2.7 . . . LOL)

You can start with the intake and exhaust system and upgrade them both for the most bang for the least bucks....lots of choices out there.[&:]
