So I just picked up a family car that is randomly going into limp mode. They described the problem as ; you will be driving just fine and after you slow down and try to speed back up the dash gauges will peg out and you won’t go above 30 mph. So it’s in limp mode. I have not been able to pull any codes off of it as the battery was dead when I went to pick it up but the cel was on. Has anyone seen this problem? Tcm? Speed sensor? I heard battery terminals and the neg terminal is pretty corroded but it’s not like the car is shutting off, And the gauges do like a reset they’ll go to the off position then all the way out. Now this is all what I’ve been told. I have not seen it in action yet. I just want to know what could possibly be wrong.
