I need to get some new tires for my neon and I was wondering if anyone runs 205/50R14's on there car and if they noticed any improvement on grip/acceleration.

I have 185/65R14's right now on it and when I take off the tires just spin so I was wondering if they wider tire would give me better grip and the shorter overall tire height give added acceleration? Just a dumb thought

 

They should do a great deal for both acceleration and handling. I got wider tires for my R/T and it was great, but I it still broke the tires loose quite easily.
