Default banging noise when breaking or turning corners

Hello,

I have a 2000 Neon with 141000 km on it. When ever i break or turn corners I hear a banging coming from the front drivers side wheel and feel a of thumping on my foot through the break pedel. Not sure what it is.. never been in an accident or hit anything. Any know what this is??

thanks!

This is only on corner braking, not on straight line braking? A clicking around corner is usually a CV joint. Is there more brake dust on the drivers rim??

Its happening on straight line braking and corner braking as well.. haven't check the brake dust yet, my boyfriend has my car for the night and I am just trying to find out any information to help him with identifying the problem

I would think that its a bad caliper($60 or so at autozone) or bad master cylinder. If you have more brake dust on the drivers side then its a hanging caliper.
