Will a a670 transmission fit in a 03 dodge neon sohc

 

The tranny (aka 31TH) will physically fit since it's the same 3-speed that's on the 1st gen Neons (and Omni's, for that matter...). I'm not positive the axles are going to work though. Don't know if the tranny end spline count changed when they went to the 4-speed auto or not. If they don't fit, you'd have to go with 1st gen axles, which means going with 1st gen hubs since I know for sure the spline count on that end changed. You could either have a 1st gen hub pressed in to the 2nd gen spindle, or use a 1st gen spindle with shims (forget the dimensions) between the spindle and the strut.
