Engine swap?
I was just wondering what engines would fit, easiest, in the 95-99 neons i have read that howell makes one hell of a crate engine, but it takes some changes to the vehicle positionings to get it in. I have also heard the srt-4 would fit, but im uncertain to how easily this would be. I need some information to as what would be the biggest kick for the lazy do-it-yourselfer.

RE: Engine swap?
it depends on if your car is SOHC or DOCH
with $700 you can buy a kit to drop in a 2.4liter from a cirrus/breeze/minivan/PT cruser/SRT-4
if your car is sohc you would have to add a few things to your wire harness for the DOCH
if your car is SOHC, and if you can find one, the engine from the 2001+ RT and ACR had a better flowing head and better camshaft, this engine will bolt in with very little modification, all you have to do is take everything (and I mean everything) off your old engine and bolt it up to the new one, even the drive pully for the belt system
I am about to do this myself because I just spun a bearing in my old engine, and I was lucky enough to find one out of an R/T
