the header is one of the top mods you can do...and I have never heard of the need for a "custom" header...unless the person telling you wanted a "custom" payment....LOL

Yes. The only problem with that is your choosing volume over velocity. A friend of mine did that with his eclipse(one with the Neon 2.0L) and his 1/4 times were in the high 16- mid 17's because of it. His eclipse was faster than that dead stock. Volume does not always equal power especially with a 4 cylinder. Volume only works for all-out race cars. For the street you need volume+velocity. That is why I suggested the 55mm throttle body, you gain volume while retaining velocity.

You will be alot better off with it, trust me.<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley20.gif border="0"> By the way, what year R/T's were you beating. The '00 and up R/T's were just a badge/trim level and gained alot of weight with the body change. '99 and older R/T's and ACR's with few options, like mine(power nothing, except steering), run mid/high 15's stock(which mine isn't<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley15.gif border="0"> <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"> ). Either way it sounds like yours will be getting even better, so keep up the good work.<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley20.gif border="0"> <edited><editID>71ROADRUNNER</editID><editDate>37948.0528819444</editDate></edited>

i was beating 99 and older i raced 4 and i killed three but one i only beat by bout 2 cars. and wat exactly is the acr? </P>

</P>

this is for the kid that wants parts and a header non need for a custom header jsut take it to and exhaust shop and the will cut off ur cat and pu a pipe in with a flex pipe and a flange connecting the headerto the exhaust pipe...i got a 4-1 header which is top end and alls i have to say is that should be the next thing u buy because with cold air intake and a high end header its like v-tec but better i was coming back from venice last week and i buried my speedometer at 120 but was still excellerating because i see my rpms increasing a header is a must have and you will see how choked ur engine is because the stock header is just damn pittiful and cuttin off ur cat helps too!!!!!</P>

An ACR Neon is the factory built race car for showroom stock classes. It is exactly the same as the R/T's with these differences: no A/C, no options except heater(to have or not)and color, no stereo and it comes with Koni adjustable shocks. I'm not certain, but I think all ACR's are manual steer only. I take it your Neon is modified as well?
