brake pulse in 2000 neon, anyone else?
Hey there, this'd be my first post here beside my intro... here goes.
I have a 2000 Neon and the front brakes pulse and are getting worse. I had this problem before and had the rotors turned. The problem came back though. Looking at my brake pads it looks like just the outer brake pads are pushing against the rotors cause the inside ones are hardly worn at all! Anyone else have/had this problem? Mine only has 39000 KMS on it so it's still darn new but the warrenty is gone now. I greased the places where the pads move, really tight little spaces but I guess that didn't do it. Lemme know if you know of this.

Sounds like your rotors might be warped. Nope, no brake problems for me, but I haven't had mine long enough to have problems.

That's a sweet ride of yours man!
Yah, that was the problem the first time, so I had them turned and that fixed it for a while but now it's back haha.

Look at the pads relation to the rotors, are the pads parallel with the rotor or are the pads slightly tilted? It could be your pads or even the caliper, if the rotors are not warped again. If the rotors are warped again, then just replace them with a set of Power Slot rotors. The Power Slot rotors are far less likely to ever warp and will also give you better stopping performance.[sm=smiley20.gif][sm=smiley2.gif]
