problem with start the engine
Hi, I am wondering if any one could help me out with my Chrysler Neon LE 2.0i year 2000.
The problem I have with my car is when I start the engine I have to press on gas pedal to keep engine running when I take my leg from the gas pedal the car engine stop running. I am not sure what is the problem. Can you let me know what I should check why is doing this. Any ideas? please
Thanks

Thank you ewetho, However I have another question for you because I am not sure where is the vacuum leak or the IAC motor.
Could any one please let me know where I can find vacuum leak and IAC Motor in my Neon so I know where to start. Thank you

If any could describe where I should look for the vacuum leak and for the IAC Motor I think this should help me to locate them in my Neon, but pics would be nice if any one could post it I would really appreciate. Please and thank you in advance
Many thanks to Evetho you were right I checked my IAC Motor and it was stuck, I tried to clean and fix it so try it again and my car started right away, so I know its IAC Motor problem, I will replace it with a new one when I will buy it on Monday.
I went to a car store today which is also open on Sunday and I found there a repair manual book for Doge Neon 2000 thru 2003 so I read about IAC Motor where is located and how to replace it and also I read about Vacuum Leak but I don't have this issue
Many thanks to Evetho again

Sorry not to respond again very quickly but glad you found your issue. IAC for those who do not know is the Idle Air Control which is a little bypass around the throttle plate in the throttle body that open up as you get more load, say from you AC or power steering at full lock. If it get stuck or all carboned up not going to work very well.
Vacuum leaks, probably the best place to look is that little diagram on the bottom of your hood that shows you all the lines and general laout in relative positions in the engine compartment. Basically all those rubber hoses check them for cracks, missing, holes, etc.
