Default CV Joints

2 Questions... 1. How hard are they to replace and 2. Does it have to do with the tranny. My inner ones went bad. Thanks in advance.

they probally went bad from just normal wear and tear, or hard driving and high miles.......the easiest way to change them is to take off the big nut from the end(hub bolt)...then unbolt the ball joint and pop it off(easiest to use a big pipe or bar and wedge it between the lower control arm and spindle, then pry off the bottom of the car)....then pull the spindle outa the way towards the back of the car, pull out the hub end of the drive shaft.....then use a pry bar or sumthing equivelent and just pry the shaft outa the trans....not too hard, especially with airtools
