I need a new seat track for the driver's side seat (left track, right is good as far as I can tell). I am having the WORST time trying to find one online local. Dealer quoted $92, but I'd rather try cheaper.

I have a 2dr and have been told numerous times that 2dr and 4dr seats are different. Are the -tracks- different though? One would think that this is a relatively universal part.

 

it's my understanding that ANY 95-99 neon seats are the same. try calling to the strip yards in your area and see if they have any. have you tried to pull the seat out and clean the track? might just be dirt and candy wrappers jamming something up. good luck.

 

definitely not gummed up. That was the first thing I checked. The metal on the back bolt up to the chair actually snapped. I don't really want to know (admit) to how it happened, though I have a good idea...[:@]

I called all day yesterday about the whole seat, that was before I called the dealer about the track. Guess once I get out of the sick bed, I'll try calling the rounds again about the track. Wish me luck!

my poor baby needs more than just the tracks too, but this is the first and easiest to fix (aside from the turn light replacements), definitely the one annoying problem too.

 

the seats from a 2 and 4 door are different...the 2 door folds all the way forward....however the tracks are the same and will work just fine
