Default Post a pic of your engine!

And lable it please!

I just aquired an 02' Neon with the 2L engine.
My Geo was Easy to get along with, the Saturn had a somewhat complex engine but I could basicaly find the components.

Im totaly lost with the Neon engine though.

I thought I found the PCV on the back of the engine, it had a tube going into the vacume case and a "sponge" to filter some of the crap it was leaking.
Then, I thought I found the breather, but when I unhooked the hose to the air intake (between the throttle body and intake system) it seemed to have oil also which either meants theres an issue, or its another PCV system?.

Finnaly, Timing chain?.
I think I located it... on the drivers side of the engine behind the wheel towards the bottom of the engine right?

SO!
If someone can post a picture of their engine and lable the components for me, Id be amazingly greatful!

(HORAY! I finnaly have an OHC engine!)

I Love My Neon already.
Right now I just have a High flow airfilter in the vacume box.
More mods to come.....

Iv got to time my 0-60 soon.....

Anyway, Picture me please!!

i have a first gen..so i dont have helpful pics for you...
but the timing (belt in this case) is on the passenger side, under the plastic cover with the motor mount bolted to it....opposite side of the trans....
the pcv should be ontop of the valve cover with a hose running from there to the intake tube

maybe this will help a little

Haha I could take a picture, but as far as labeling stuff, I'm about as lost as you. I only know where the places for oil, transmission fluid, windshield washer fluid are and spark plugs, haha.

Your PCV valve is on the drivers side of the valve cover right between the engine and battery. Here is a picture with the PCV boxed in in red:

Okay. That makes sence, looks exactly like a PCV.

So whats the pipe that runs from the back of the engine (behind the coils) to the Filter box?
Thats refered to as the PCV outlet (it has some kind of filter on it inside the filter box, mine has a 'sponge')
