[:@]allright, i took my 96 sohc neon to cecil race track, i was comming home that night and it was puttering, (sounded like it wanted to quit) i made it home, so that night i changed out the coil, still wouldent start, changed the cam and crank position sensor, still nothign, swapped out the pcm and still nothing, honestly i have no idea what it could be, its been at a local shop for about a week now and it happend 2 weeks ago, if anyone has a clue of what it could be, help me out, btw..its getting plenty of spark and gas...and when you crank it over it just sounds like a bov.

 

sounds like the timing belt either skipped a tooth or two......or might of messed up a valve.....maybe

 

nah not the timing, checked that out and it wasent a tooth off, but yeah maybe a valve or something idk its ****ing bull**** tho, my mechanic said for me to take it to this one guys place so im gonna do that, he's supposed to be pretty good at wiring..idk hopefully the little neon will come back to life...maybe[&o]

Why send it to a guy good with wiring if you don't know what it is not getting.

If you got spark, fuel, compression, and timing you have fire.

What dos a BOV sound like???????? I do nto understand that one.

 

A BOC is the sound when a turbo blows off. It's the whoosh sound you hear.
