3rd brake light
i have seen first gen neons with the third brake light shaved off. i was just curious too the easiest way off doing this, would it be easier to weld a piece of metal into place, have it done profesionally, or just bondo the damn thing over. any one with details on how to or pictures of do it yourself jobs i would greatly aprreciate.
My buddy had it done to his 98 R/T. Keep one thing in mind though, it is ILLEGAL to drive it on the road after you shave it. He used bondo and it turned out sweet, but unfortunately, he wrecked the car and I don't have any pics of it...

Well, why do you think they put that light there? It's there because if you are driving behind someone and not really paying attention when they hit their brakes, instead of seeing just 2 lights you see 3. Especially good at night b/c we all know that when your headlights are on, your rear lights come on as well. This way there is no confusion. Unless your third brake light is out.. That really sucks for the day dreaming driver behind you... I've had friends pulled over b/c they shaved their 3rd brake light. It can look cool as hell, but it really is a bad idea. Anything to give the person behind you warning of you stopping/slowing down is a good thing. Why mess with that?
Why not shave it and put one in your rear window that way your car is still legal and you get a clean look on your ride. I have to admit the third brake light on my friends 96 looks like it was an after thought
