Default Installed intake on a 96 neon!

Yesterday I began the process of moding my friends neon. First step was to install an air intake. I have to say the car responded really well to the intake. It pulls a little harder on the low end and it seems to pull a lot harder at about 4500 rpms. Not to mention it give the car a really nice sound.

Sweet deal! What kind of intake did you do, the Iceman? What else have you got lined up for Project Neon?

APC Warm air intake its not the greatest but it going to be turbo so we went cheap on the inake for now. Unfortuantly we just got back from dragging and the neon has a lot of room for improvement. Next up is a catback and header. and after that we are swapping to a 5spd. The auto tranny just sucks, originaly we were going to build the auto but its just to slow. 18.1 at 76 mph was his best time. Then this winter its getting a crane cam not sure which yet, valve springs, and aem cam gear, mopar coilovers, front and rear strut tower braces, f&r swaybars, and an Indy intake manifold.

Yeah but when your tranny is shot you don't have much choice. He was fighting shifting problems all day.
