All I have to say is when all else fails, try Ebay. Have you checked your local auto parts stores. I remember seeing one about a month and a half ago. Not recently. Ebay does have some, but I can imagine what the shipping would be on a battery.

 

i purchased a red top battery from ebay !!! great $$$ with shipping $85 total
autopart store wanted $139 + tax

ive tried all that, well except ebay.......nothing for 2004, is the 03 batt. the same as the 04

 

Yup, same thing. Why do you want to upgrade the battery? Doing a system or do you just want more juice to flow to your car's accessories? If you are doing a system, you want a yellow top. They are a deep cycle battery that allow you to nearly drain the thing and then they can recharge. You can jump the thing countless times, unlike a generic battery that can only accept a few times. Red top batteries are pretty much the same as what you have in the car now and blue tops are made for boats that need more heavy duty power. Unfortunately, they do not make a battery for the Neon, but you can find one that is about the same size and make it work. That's what we did in an SRT-4. Hope this helps you out.
