Help! No blinkers or fan and airbag light on
Started my '98 Neon this morning, heard a "funny" sound and discovered that my turn signals and fan do not work and the airbag light stays on. I checked all relevant fuses and all were okay. Has anyone experienced the same problem??

Which fan: the AC/Heater blower or the ones on the radiator? Sounds like you lost a cable or ground connection to affect all of those things at once.
We had similar symptoms on our Durango caused by a critter munching on wires near the front of the car. [:@] Co-worker's car wiring was hit by a squirrel in the last week or two, so it can still be a problem at this time of year.
Thanks for the replies, guys. The light that is staying on is actually the airbag light. The check engine light never came on. As for the fan, it's the AC/Heater blower, not the radiator fan. Last night, also found that the rear defroster is not working.
sounds like you lost a ground wire under the dash, take a volt meter or test light and try ringing out the rear defroster switch, its probally the easiest to get at, and move on from there.
Here's an update on my Neon. Ended up taking car to Dealer. They found a corroded wire that had broken near the power distribution box under the hood. $212 later and I'm back in action. I guess it could have been worse. Just thought this might help others who may experience a similar problem.
