Hey, Im new here, and I have a problem.

I just had to change the battery today in my 95 Neon Highline SOHC, and it started fine immediately after. Then as I was about to leave my house, I started the car, it started fine, but when I was done backing out of the driveway, and shifting into 1st, the car sputtered and stalled. Now when I try to start it, everything sounds right (ie, strater is working, engine is turning over) but it just won't catch.

I think this may be due to no fuel reaching the cylinders, but don't know what is causing this.

Can someone help?

Check your connections to the battery, make sure they are tight. Try takeing them off, leave them off for 15 minutes to let the computer reset again and try it.

 

Yeah, I agree with casper. I had a problem like that once with my last Neon and the wires that were hooked up to the positive terminal were loose. Every time I took a right turn, my car stalled. Needless to say, that was fun...
