From what i know springs are a permanent thing ,i mean you can take them off of course for coilovers.But if you live in an area that snow alot live i was in Germany depending on how low you have your car it might get stuck meaning the tiers may freze in place after you come home and want to leave the next day.Coilovers however give you the option of raising the car up or down by turning a locking ring on each one of the corners.Bad side is this they might rust up on you and you will not be able to change the height on them.Personally i would change to coilovers cause im in TX now.Hope this gave you some help.
