STICK SHIFT HELP PLEEEEAASSSEEE
I HAVE A 98-DODGE NEON AND I NEED HELP WITH THE STICK SHIFT. WHEN I REVERSED IT THE STICK SHIFT WENT LOOSE AND I ONLY CAN DRIVE IT IN 2ND 3RD AND 4TH THATS IT..I CANT EVEN PUT IT INTO NUTRAL... CAN ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO FIX IT PLEASEEE......

might need a new tranny[&:]
you could check the shift cable bushings on the transmission...or take out the center console and check where the shift cables mount the the shift handle

Well 1st gear, 5th gear and Reverse are both on the same layshaft inside the transmission as far as I know so that's not good... but how can you shift from 2nd-3rd-4th if you don't have nuetral? Nuetral is basically anywhere that you're not in gear or in a gate.

i blew out my tranny a couple monthes ago......
i could put it in any gear including neutral.....but it was always in 4th gear....you could even drive down the road and go through all the gears, but still no matter where the lever was at, it was always 4th gear...
that one really had me stumped
