Default stuck clutch

I was driving intoa store parking lot today, and when I made the turn, i stepped on the clutch and put it in first. Then, it didn't want to come back up. My car was going slow for a while, then I hit the gas, and it popped back up. Is this something I should worry about? I drove it home with no problems. I have to drive my car tomorrow for an out of town trip, but should I be concerned about taking my car? Has this happened to anyone else? I've had this car for 16 months, and it hasn't given me any trouble until now. Thanks in advance!

Check the fluid level in the clutch master cylinder. You may have lost vaccuum to it and that could happen. As long as it doesn't happen again and the fluid is full, don't worry about it.

I had something like that happen a month ago... I couldn't get the pedal to come back up all the way so my clutch was slipping like crazy... anyway long story short, I crawled up under the dash and looked and there is a snap-ring that fits inside the front of the clutch master cylindar (to hold the rubber dust seals in)... well, on my car apparently that snap ring was either A. - misinserted originally ... or B. - popped for some freak reason... anyway this was an ongoing problem similar to what you said and I finally found it, it was just that snap ring that kicked sideways and binded the seals up against the shaft, I took it out and lined everything back up and put it back in the right way and no problems since.
