Default Where to find..

Okay, so I just have a K&N filter on the end of my TB right now. The TB is 2.5" on the inside (could be the outside of it, can't remember), I want to get an adapter to go from 2.5" to 3" and then bend it down 90 to get it away from the heat of my engine since I have so much space there (and so it can hopefully eat up some cooler air). I was planning on using a 2.5" to 3" silicone adapter and intercooler piping to do it. Good idea/bad idea? I checked out a few hardware shops around here and they didn't have the right size adapter I need and I didn't like any of my choices as far as piping either. Any other ideas, or know of someplace I can find the stuff I mentioned earlier for a decent price, most the stuff I found was somewhat expensive.

On a side note, when I was looking last night at the hardware store, there were some other guys trying to do the same thing as me!!! LOL, I heard them talking.

90 Degree bend? As long as the bend is in the intake pipe and not after the TB. That is one of the worst part about 1st gens is that damn 90 deg. bend in the I/M. It's a major flow killer. If you added something like that after the TB, you would see a big power loss. Also, to big of a TB will kill you performance too.

Yes, the 90 degreen bend I'm talking about is in the intake pipe. I already have a straight pipe to go between TB and intake manifold to replace the stock rigid one one. I just have the stock TB on there right now. Know where to get adapters and pipe for good price?
