I got a 99 Neon...130k miles. The sign just came on, but i dont see no problems with it runs great a/c is great. Im in college and just wondering what I can do to try to get this sign off my car it gets annoying. Should I just take it in and get a tune up?

 

The first thing you need to do is find out if your Neon is giving out any trouble codes. All Mopars have a self checking PCM and they are simple to check. Click on this link, it tells you how to check it and gives you the list of what each code is: http://www.troublecodes.net/neon/

 

Try diconnecting the battery for 30-60 minutes and then reconnect. If the light comes on again you have a problem and read out the codes. My 98 was throwing a purge canister code, I did this and have not seen a check engine in a month. sometimes somethin just fluke happens and it throws a code.
